What it's all about...

The Action of Faith Food Cooperative (Co-Op) is one of several (12+) outreach community programs started by Action of Faith Ministries Inc.  It is fully funded by donations from members and food Co-Op partners so that we can offer a supplemental supply of pantry items to families, individuals, businesses, churches, and other ministries.

By partnering in the Co-Op you are able to save money while also helping families in need since a portion of ALL Co-Op donations are used to replenish our food banks that serve the community.

Our donation levels and package sizes depend on the need and the available food products, which are then divided and distributed accordingly. These donations can be obtained directly here at the Action of Faith Food Bank or via any of our participating neighborhood partner churches. 

Here’s How it Works …

Each Friday afternoon of every month, your family, church, or non-profit organization is able to pick-up food from the Co-Op to help subsidize your food pantry.  Our small package averages 50-60 lbs. of food weekly to accommodate a family of 4-5 people, while our large package averages 120 lbs. of food weekly to accommodate 2-3 families.

Why the Shipping and Handling Charge?
Although we deliver on Fridays, ours is a 24/7 ministry.  In order to maintain a fresh and balanced food pantry on a weekly basis, we have invested and continue to invest in the necessary overhead that an operation and ministry, such as ours, requires.  Refrigerator trucks, commercial freezers, warehouse space, diesel fuel, etc., all work to enable us to provide you with the best food and ministry we have to give.  Additionally, we also routinely purchase bulk food items, (ex., soda, juice, canned goods) from our generous vendors to further enhance and balance out the food packages we deliver to you.

To get started, complete our "Food Co-Op Request" form, call or email us. Pick-ups are on every Friday of the month from (4-6 p.m.).  However, it’s very important for you to provide us with your email address, just in case a change occurs or new opportunities present themselves.  For example, sometimes we are blessed to have additional or increased food resources.  On these occasions we can offer extra pick-ups or increase the quantities and/or the variety of food!  Lastly, we may from time to time need to change the pick-up schedule as a result of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

Food supply depends on our donor network, but very often includes the following:

• Beverages & Snacks
• Fresh & Frozen Produce
• Breads & Pastries
• Frozen Goods  (subject to availability)
• Miscellaneous Goods

As the program continues to grow, we will be able to provide more items and more details about what to expect each month regarding seasonal products. Always remember, we are a ministry and exist to serve you and your needs.  Never let a Friday go by without letting us bless you.  We understand that you may not be able to make it to Action of Faith each and every week.  However, as a courtesy, we ask that you let us know in advance, so that we can quickly make any necessary adjustments.  Thank You.
